The well-developed Schinderhannes – Untermosel bicycle trail connects Hunsrück and Moseltal and runs from Emmelshausen down to Burgen. If your looking for a sporting challenge, simply go for the opposite way from the valley into the expansive heights of the Hunsrück. Length: 20 kilometres from Emmelshausen to Burgen; Level of difficulty: easy (steeply downhill into the Mosel valley); Difference in altitude Emmelshausen – Burgen 420-80 m above mean sea level From 1 April to 31 October, the RegioRadler bus (Line no. 630) runs daily from Emmelshausen to Treis-Karden, also connecting the lower Mosel municipalities of Brodenbach and Burgen. In combination with boat and train, the 630 line provides countless options for day-tours, for both cyclists and hikers.
